Eat around the World (Italian)

The evening started in Gorinchem Oost picking up all the Gorinchem members to drive to Dordrecht, after all contributions to the meal were in the boot of the car the aroma in the car was very tantalising.

We all arrived safely in Dordrecht and soon the eating began. For starters, we had parma ham and melon, followed by lasagne, vegetable dish, toastie with spiced tomatoes, chicken and parma ham in a wine sauce, it was delicious.

No meal would be complete without the dessert therefore, we had Italian ice cream, a special Italian bread and butter pudding (it was delicious) and of course tiramisu custard. What better to round a meal off than a nice cup of tea or coffee.

The conversation during and after the meal flowed, no children about, our men of course, looking after them. Although, I did hear that some of the dads had a difficult time looking after four of the kids.

I believe the kids played up a little and the men did not have such a relaxing night as us ladies. Thank you both for looking after them enabling us to have a venue for our Eat Around the World night.

We all had a lovely evening.
