Halloween party
(Family event ), (31/10/2007)

Wednesday morning is the regular Parent and toddler morning. And especially for this occasion something special was organised: Halloween colouring pages, ghost and pumpkin cut-outs to glue on a page, a spooky reading book and a real pumpkin that still needed some work! This meant getting your hands dirty. only 2 kids were brave enough to get their hands in the sticky mess. It turned out to be a fun looking pumpkin! It was a very enjoyable morning.
In the afternoon we went to Schelluinen for the Halloween party. The party organisers had come earlier to help prepare. Shortly after also the rest of the families arrived.
The kids started out playing before we got them ready for a real “trick or treat”. We practiced the line: “Trick or treat, give me something good to eat!”
We found several houses in the neighbourhood prepared to join as “guesthouse”, so the goody bags weren’t empty for long! The kids enjoyed being outside in the dark. It was a great new experience for all of the kids (and parents as well)
When we came back to the house the food table was ready. Everyone made a great effort to prepare some delicious food.
It was an amazing day, because it wasn’t cold, so we were able to eat outside.
After dinner a little fire was started and some games were played with the children.
