Halloween Party
(Family event ), (30/10/2005)

Sunday afternoon 3 pm we arrived at the Scout Hut for the Halloween party. When we arrived, people were standing outside, which was exceptional for this time of the year - the temperature was very pleasant and even the sun came out.

When we went into the building (Enter if you dare!) we found a fantastically decorated Scout Hut. Several tables were set up with different games: throwing beanbags in a bucket, guessing how many ‘pepernoten’ are in a jar, feeling with your hand in a slimy 'goo' to figure out what was hiding in it, and apple bobbing. There was also a table with 3 boxes, where you could put your hand in to feel what was inside it, but some kids didn’t dare to, Some kids had to be convinced that it was OK!
And of course there was the mummy wrapping. We needed a lot of toilet paper again. 3 dads and one mom became unrecognizable.

A lot of people came to the party, not just members, but also non-members. Everyone had great fun, and because of the good weather we were able to do some of the games outside. In between the games the kids, as usual, loved running around and playing outside.

Everyone slowed down a bit when the Halloween themed food table was opened! It was a great afternoon, and we really enjoyed ourselves very much - everyone went home tired and satisfied.
