Ice Skating

On 6th March we drove to the Drechtstedenhal in Dordrecht for the ice skating morning.

The turn up was quite good: It was quite crowded, but everyone enjoyed themselves very much. Someone had brought a sleigh, so the kids had a lot of fun persuading the adults to pull them around the ice-rink. Some children tried very hard to skate all by herself, without the help of the metal ‘chairs’! They enjoyed themselves very much. By the time the morning was over most of the children were doing really well. Unfortunately it was almost the end of the season, and there was only one week left to skate before the skating rink closed for the season.

It was a very enjoyable time for everyone. Afterwards some of us decided to stay for a hot chocolate before heading home, and at that time the kids hockey team started practicing; this made some boys want to join right away!
