Christmas Party
(Family event ), (17/12/2004)

On Friday 17th December we had the Christmas party at ‘De Heul’. The room was decorated and Christmas music was playing. The kids were put to work, decorating their own candy Christmas tree. One of the children always loves to decorate with the writing icing and 'M & M' ’s. Everyone had a lot of fun with the first game, running back and forth with their reindeer horns and red noses.

The dinner was a great success, instead of a buffet, a long table had been set up so that everyone could sit down. The food was good - it is always nice to have such a variety of food. One specific dessert in particular was very tasty! After dinner there was another game. Carrying presents in Father Christmas’ bag - in other words, carrying a walnut on a spoon to a bag a few meters away. The winning team was the one whose basket of walnuts was empty the first.

But no matter how much fun the games were, everyone was in suspense, waiting for the arrival of Father Christmas. So when he finally came, the evening was a complete success! He talked to the children, and asked them to sing some songs. He had never heard the song ‘Oh Denneboom’ so that was one of the songs the children sang for him. Father Christmas handed out the presents himself, and the kids ran up to get them. We went home happy and tired. It was yet again a great party. Thanks for putting this evening together.
