Introduction

The International Children and Parents Club is an organisation, designed to meet the needs of English speakers, their partners and children in the Gorinchem area. It provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences, and gives the children a chance to practice their English, all within a social environment.

The two British women (English ladies.) behind the project, Louise and Rosemary, have both lived in Gorinchem for several years. Having young children themselves, they missed the various "pre-school" groups, which are so prevalent in the UK and other English speaking countries, and recognised the opportunity for such a Club to exist in Gorinchem.
The Club meets on a fortnightly basis in Gorinchem, primarily for the children aged 0 to 10 years. However we also have an active social programme for the adults.
